Dr. Susan Sharpe has developed the Intentional Influential Teen Coaching Model (IIT) to provide the Christian parent a unique and valuable tool to inspire and elicit the teen's active participation as, together, they: 1.define "success" through the discovery of the teen's unique, God-given purpose. 2.embrace the teen's God-given purpose as he becomes a leader who impacts and influences society. Dr. Sharpe's IIT Model allows each teen to define himself according to God's definition of who he "is" - how God has and continues to shape him - as opposed to how society measures his accomplishments. The foundation for this model is based on these biblical truths: "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." (Ephesians 2:10) "I am sure that God who began this good work in you will carry it on to completion." (Philippians 1:6) "'For I know the plans I have for you, ' says the Lord, 'they are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.'" (Jeremiah 29:11) Based on this foundation, the IIT Coaching Model enables a teen to understand that God has been at work, is working, and will continue to work in his life.
