The approach taken in this book looks at the impact of universal connectedness on how we experience the world around us. It explores the inability of hierarchy to cope with the rate of change and complexity that is driven by this universal connectedness. The ideas of 'wirearchy' and living adaptive systems are introduced as the foundations of the emerging role of leadership as a person-based rather than position-based construct.
