The Quintessential, Firebrand, Prophetic, Streetwise Poetry from the Son of a Preacher Man is a collection of poems written since 1978 to the present that reflects the authors view on politics and economics, relationships and religion. These poems are garnered from the author's lifelong experiences as an African American male in the USA. These poems having been written by an African American in the diaspora express the hopes, fears, joys, loves, sadness, bitterness and aspirations of a people who by an unfortunate act in history, namely the African Slave Trade, are forced to unconsciously and sometimes consciously subscribe to value systems and cultural practices that are detrimental not only to themselves but future generations. Hopefully the insights gleaned from the reader will produce a new and most importantly Godly inspired world view...
