I am so grateful that we have come this far together. This book is the second in a series of five; I hope you enjoyed the first. We have learned some things together such as: • Why should I fear God? • Why should I trust Him? • Who am I in Christ? • What is the nature of sin? • What are some of the very important things Christ said? • What can I learn about God’s character based on his Hebrew names? But these are just the basics: They are enough to get us started, but really only scratch the surface of Important Things to Know About God. This book begins with a look at the seven holy convocations instituted by God in Chapter 23 of the Book of Leviticus. These convocations occur twice each year in God’s redemptive calendar; the first four in the Spring of the year, and the last three in the Fall. It is true these Festivals are historical events given to the Jewish people to help them celebrate significant parts of their cultural lives. They are also prophetic testimonies to the redemptive work which would be done by Jesus Christ at a time later in the future.
