Charles C. Woods remembers hearing someone say childhood has nothing to do with who we are today. He could not disagree more. In Hide or Seek, he shares his memories growing up in Tuckerman, Arkansas, highlighting his first eight years. Nicknamed “Bubby” by his older brothers, he suffered tragedy and loss—but also enjoyed good times. As you read, allow your inner child to walk alongside him as he copes with the unexpected and finds strength to persevere. One of the best lifelines he had growing up was Jesus. When the author needed Him, He was there—and continues to be there to this day. When the author needed someone to help, He brought them. Anytime a person opens their life, they take a chance of losing a part of themselves. The author wrote this book to gain a part of himself that had been missing—and to encourage others to avoid hiding things of the heart. Join the author as he recalls what has shaped him into the person, he is today in this collection of childhood memories.
