Another in the Robot Wars series by Golden Lion, this book details a thousand years of the Orions, giants who used to live on Earth but escaped annihilation to the stars, then came back again to aid and live peacefully with earthmen, only to find other aliens--their sworn enemies from the stars, in the process of taking over earth. Following failed attempts to expel the other aliens from earth peacefully, war breaks out, aided by jealous, backstabbing relatives of the Orion king. Be prepared to see the remnants of the Hopi Indians help in the fight. See how humans use ancient and new technology to thwart destruction--learn their secrets that could rival, even undermine current alien technology! Golden Lion's explanations of the technological breakthroughs are thorough and very plausible, even for our day. Think: Megatrends! It's what we have to look forward to in the future.
