HELP PLEASE! Is a series of books that introduces the readers too chronic health conditions that affect our everyday lives. Often time Elders in the family are the ones caring for their grandchildren while parents work. It is a book that helps children ages 5 and up recognize the signs and symptoms of a stroke. There is an alarming amount of Americans who have experienced signs and symptoms of a stroke. There is good news a stroke can be prevented, treated and intensity reduced. This book empowers them to "ACT FAST"when it is an emergency! A stroke is a medical condition that affects the brain in the body. Stroke causes death of the cells in the brain. Stroke results from either the leakage of blood in the brain cells or inadequate flow of blood within the brain arteries. There are two types of stroke: Ischemic and Hemorrhagic. Ischemic is due to poor flow of blood within the brain due to blockages in arteries. Hemorrhagic is due to bleeding within the brain due to narrowing of the arteries (Liesz et al., 2017). The brain is the motor and the body is the car. The motor (brain) sends messages to the car (body). When the motor (brain) has a stroke it is unable to tell the car (body) to work, move and function properly. This means that the stroke causes the body to stop moving its arms and legs freely. HELP Please can also be used in the home as a teaching tool for young and old. The book can used as a tool to list pertinent medical information and can be uitlized at all times at doctor's appointments or as a reference if 911 is called. Any one experiencing these signs and symptoms must think fast and call 9-1-1. There is a danger if a person does not get immediate help. Time is Tissue. Stokes can be treated effectively and sometimes the effects can be reversed but without immediate help strokes can be devastating leaving a person often times helpless and paralyzed. It is so important for American's to learn about how to prevent...
