has left the world of Glory, bound for Earth with a precious cargo of sleeping humanity, but not everyone has chosen to sail with her. Some fear the long dark and many can see nothing for them in the future they have been offered; most remain because they can see no alternative. They love their world too much to turn their backs on her. They are the Guardians of Glory.
They're sorely needed, for the peoples of Glory face many challenges. They must adapt to their isolation, make new lives for themselves and find peace and reconciliation with Glory's native creatures; the foys and the aeroforms. Above all, they face a Great Tide - an unstoppable wall of water that will sweep all human life from Glory's scattered lands and which could strike at any time.
