Digital financial services have the power to help low- and middle-income communities afford and access healthcare globally. ACCESS Health International and MetLife Foundation co-designed and launched the first-ever regional Fintech for Healthcare platform in 2019 that brings together leading finance and healthcare providers and start-ups to leverage this power. The book provides a roadmap for equitable and innovative health financing across Asia and beyond. With more than 100 million people around the world pushed into poverty every year because of healthcare costs, innovative solutions to health financing are sorely needed. A Fintech for Health ecosystem approach supports providers and payers in the provision, administration, and management of health care, giving people more choices for how they access and pay for their healthcare.
