The threat of terrorism notwithstanding, the world has never been more traveler friendly as it is today. For example, one can pick up a university education in some corner of the earth and practice it elsewhere without undue difficulties. In Far Country Chronicles : A Texan’s Perspective, we see how far this idea can be stretched by Jack Everton, whose amazing life saw him leave his native Texas and spend a substantial part of his life outside the United States, with many details of his experiences retold here. Best of all, the entire narrative comes spiced with good old Texas humor, as good as any Texan worth his salt can dish out.
