Over the 40-year stretch of my publishing career, I mostly freelanced for publishers, for other people with their own set of restrictions, rules and regulations; I had to keep that in mind -while I composed, illustrated or translated works of literature. These restrictions always seemed arbitrary, depending solely on the country of publication, or the publishing house staff. However, if it is, then you must write it as it is -honestly, succinctly, using the appropriate language without adulterations, religious, political, and social preconceived notions.
