This volume explores the category of engagement by looking at literary and artistic projects by international authors that are conceived as interventionist, critical and radical. The reference point of such works is usually concrete changes in social, political, cultural reality. The confrontation with different literary, historical, philosophical and cultural traditions that takes place in this volume enriches the reflection on the contemporary possibilities of involving art, literature and culture in processes of transformation of the non-artistic world.
