In the land of Nymyños, home of the Twelve Kingdoms, war broils and demons run rampant, set loose by Midian Rahlan, a man of unending cruelty. In brave rebellion, a small group of survivors from Blackhaven, the razed kingdom of Elves, fights back with all their considerable might. But when Midian abducts the crown princess Everwood and parades her corpse before the gates of Blackhaven, their hopes turn to ashes. Until, eight years later, tortured by mysterious whisperings in her head and a rapidly-growing magical strength, a young she-elf named Tlonna appears in the wild Liberated Lands. Though she has no memory, and no home, she is determined to free the people of Nymyños from Midian's tyrannical rule. Fierce and brave, Tlonna sets out to give the land and her people a second chance, never knowing what truths and destinies will be forced upon her.
