Dreamloops
cassettes in 2019, then reworked and edited the material, adding two more pieces, for CD release in 2023, as
Dreamloops (Suite)
. This version was then pressed to vinyl by
Ba Da Bing
in 2024, restoring the title to just
. All eight pieces are exactly 18 minutes each, one per side, and the entire release is a master class in creating and building atmospheres that feel like living environments. Opener "Invisible Sunrise" instantly hooks the listener with its mysterious melody, which persists throughout waves of transformative effects. The piano-driven "Coalescence Cascade" develops into something lush, comforting, and astoundingly beautiful. The majority of the pieces follow suit, establishing melancholy yet gorgeous melodies and exploring them to the fullest extent, sometimes making dramatic changes and taking the pieces in a different direction. The second half of the album gets significantly darker than the first, with "Dopesick Lament" approaching the scorched-earth drone of
Rafael Anton Irisarri
. But shimmering light emerges from even the darkest moments, and the vocal-driven "LVHT" is particularly awe-inspiring.
