My name is Keith Patterson. I was born and educated on the island of Jamaica in the West Indies. My date of birth is May 29, 1938. I migrated to England in 1961 at the age of 23, where I lived and was employed for a period of 15 years. I came to the U.S.A. in 1976 and was employed by the University of Texas Medical Branch for nearly 16 years, until 1992. I was also employed as a gallery hand on a number of oilrigs in 1993.I am a widower, father, and grandfather. Now, at the age of 72, I am a retired senior citizen of the U.S.A., residing on Galveston Island, where I had the time to write my book. As a youngster, I was not into sports, but I was fortunate to acquire the gift of reading.I wrote this book to give a sense of knowledge to students and young adults about who is who and what is what. This book contains a variety of subjects about current and past events that most people know little or none about. It is a means of educating oneself and is also an intelligence booster.
