The reason for writing this book is because there is a universal need and desire, by us human beings to experience a sense of soul satisfaction and personal worth. With this being the case, it is also almost universal that we experience limited success in achieving this desirable goal, and I am no exception. I am not a trained therapist and am not advocating that persons should read this book in place of seeking professional counseling when needed. I am only trying to share personal insights that might be helpful in achieving the stated goal in the title of this book. It is my prayer that if you should read this book, something said within its pages will cause your heart to beat faster with anticipation of experiencing lasting soul satisfaction and personal worth.
I was born on April 30 1951 and was raised in central Washington state. My education was limited to graduating high school. It is ironic that later in life I would have a desire to write several books, because I did not do well academically in school. The place where I did shine was in vocational classes such as shop and agriculture. I married my wife Julie in my early thirty's, and shortly thereafter we started our family which consisted of two boys and a girl. Travis, Jeff, and Alicia. We also invited several foster kids into our home. Shortly after starting our family I created a successful agricultural business assisting farmers. I sold that business 38 years later after breaking my back at age 70. Retirement has given me time to write about important Christian issues and further develop my own faith.
