Written by Melanie P. Falina, 'Dark Days, White City' is a selection of free verse poems (and photos) inspired by the city of Chicago during the winter. This collection is an extreme change of pace from her previous four books of poetry which pay homage to steamy New Orleans. A journalist by trade, Melanie P. Falina captures the pristine beauty of a Chicago winter season, as well its harsh and dangerous underbelly.
