When Joe Jackson turned up for her interview as a heavy haulage driver for Northern Freight Company, she was wearing a skirt.The Transport Manager Zachary Roberts laughed at her, but Joe had taken a lot from men who believed a woman was better suited for the office, rather than the cab of a semi. Demanding he give her the mandatory drivers test, she was not surprised to see the smirk on his face. He gave her a set of keys, a list of number pertaining to trailers and dollies and gave her the instructions, three times around the perimeter in less than one hour.Well, she would show him!
