On the 46th anniversary of that triumph, Connor Hellebuyck authored a historic performance of his own, making 41 saves to lead Team USA to its first men's Olympic hockey gold medal since 1980 with an overtime victory over Canada at the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Winter Games.
