The title of my book is taken from Martin Luther's defense of his works at his trial: Captive to the Word of God - A Particular Baptist Perspective on Reformed and Covenant Theology. The thesis of this book is that Baptists have historically been known as "people of the book," but have drifted away in many ways over the decades. The purpose of this book is to provoke them (and any other saints of the living God) to examine our ways and see where we have allowed unbiblical traditions to cloud our view of our Savior. It is intended to be a primer on these topics, not the end-all authority.
