The fact that Cass was indeed different. Being a person that could handle herself now physically as well as mentally. She grew into herself and yes, was asked to join an elite group. She did. She was one that morphed. Changed. Grew and spread her wings. A child grows into a woman. A choice is made, she moved and learned. Hits repeat and takes a chance. Learning and surviving. But at what cost? Cass never had friends, not when you graduate at age 10, college at age 16 and one day show up at home with paperwork for entering the Army? Mom was upset, Dad was surprised but they signed the papers and Cass left. Assigned to a group and changed yet again. Leaving the service was not a choice.
