During the dry season a fresh trade-wind blows from the east ward. L.)uring the rainy season the winds are light and variable.
With these brief introductory remarks on the principal phys ical and climatic characteristics of the island I proceed to a de scription of the localities where the collections and observations upon which this paper is based were made.
