Starry-eyed galaxies, slow dancing with strangers, burning joss sticks behind the beach huts and sipping heartache through a straw are all to be found in Julie Milton’s heart-melting first collection, Breakfast in Brighton And Other Poems. There’s love, laughter, longing and the sheer joy of fried eggs on toast; everything from heavy-hearted emotions to the little things – the details that so often go unnoticed – that make life special.Julie Milton lives in Brighton, a vibrant and colourful city on the south coast of England. When she isn’t writing poetry, Julie’s other passion (not to mention chocolate, Paris and watching re-runs of Cagney & Lacey and The Golden Girls) is photography. Her images of Brighton and other locations around the world have been exhibited at art venues around the city.
