Billy Boxter is an only child. He is nine years old, well nearly ten and he really really really wants a furry friend to play with, go to the beach with and walk everywhere with. His dad works as a journalist and often has to travel to far flung away places like Asia. To add insult to injury, Billy's friends are often away at the weekends so Billy is alone most of the time. Finally Billy's parents decide he is ready to have a new bestie, once he saves up for the adoption fees and suchlike. So Billy gets to work and accomplishes that.
The day finally comes when Billy can adopt a dog, he aptly names him Snotser but chaos ensues. The result of which means Billy needs to bring Snotser to dog obedience training if he hopes to keep him. If Snotser doesn't pass obedience training, he will be taken away from Billy.
Billy is distraught but he pulls himself together and gets busy devising a plan to help Snotser pass his obedience training. But will it work?!
