Fate plays a part in everyone's destiny. John Buchanan wasn't supposed to be a slave and fate would change his destiny. He swore to avenge his father's murder and kill the English who enslaved him. Destany would have him come to the aid of a Samurai General and they would survive together. He learned sword making from Master Masamune and learned to use them with skill. It was rare for non-Japanese to become Samurai, but as fate would have it he would be allowed to wear the two swords he made in battle. He would use his swords to defend his adopted village. He would help a Monacan princess escape bondage and learn the ways of her people. Back in Japan' he would use the ways on a Monacan Warrior along with the skills of a Samurai when defending his village.
