We often find ourselves between two worlds; past and present, love and hate, betrayal and trust, and two different languages with disparate cultures and identities. However, it is not that we must choose one above the other, but rather, we must reconcile with ourselves in their convergence. The poems from Beneath the Vaulted Sky represent a journey that explores these relationships; not only how these worlds create a void but how they ultimately allow us to achieve a greater sense of purpose and identity through reunification.
