Nephi Anderson's classic novel concerns man inhabiting heaven prior to arriving on the Earth, and humanity's spiritual destiny. A treasured and historic storytelling from a Mormon perspective on life, Added Upon offers a spiritual journey which reflects upon the very nature of our reality and existence. Conversations between the spiritual forces that underpin the fate and being of humankind preface the loosely connected reflections of several ordinary families living on Earth. All of these families, in one way or another, ponder the great questions of life; why are we here? What is our purpose? Where will we go after we perish? Such profound queries form the backbone of this novel, and it is through the pursuit of answers that our characters create a unique narration. Incidental appearances of forces beyond, and the author's predictions of the future of humanity, confer a wondrous element to the tale.
