I realised after my parents had passed away that I had so many questions that would forever be unanswered and just how little I knew them. I don't mean as parents, I mean as people! I will never know how they felt about us kids, their off spring. Oh! I know that beyond a shadow of a doubt that they loved us unconditionally even when some of their sons didn't reciprocate. What I don't know is how they felt about life. I had the good fortune to be born at a time of peace and prosperity and have never wanted for anything physically, socially, financially or spiritually. Thanks to my wonderful parents I was given a healthy mind, body and soul which I abused and risked losing so many times. I'm writing this book for me as a way of coping with my PD and I dedicate it to my Sam, Sarah & Ben. I have always been somewhat of an open book to my kids but I leave them this book to read at their leisure and to treasure and maybe to answer questions that they haven't yet asked. I just hope that they love me a fraction of how much I love them.
