Obadiah Koplan's world is shattered when his husband, Xander, is murdered. Overwhelmed and in shock, he assumes the voices he's hearing are a byproduct of his loss, a form of grief induced psychosis. When these voices give way to terrifying hallucinations, Obie is left questioning his own sanity. But the reality is far more terrifying than he could have imagined. Obie is soon thrust into a supernatural world, manipulated by two enemy forces who have their own agendas, and tasked with judging a society that has taken everything from him. Who are these entities? What do they want? And, most importantly, what do they have to do with Xander? Set in the Mission District of San Francisco, A Wager of Love and Violence is book one of the Red Thread Duology.
