America remained neutral in this global conflict until April, 1917, when US President Woodrow Wilson sent troops to join in the battle. Our entrance boosted the morale of the beleaguered Allied troops and helped tip the balance of the war in their favor. This historical collection evokes those days of pride and sacrifice. It includes four coins of the era: a Lincoln Wheat cent (minted between 1914 and 1918), a silver Barber quarter (1914 - 1916), a silver Mercury dime (1916 - 1918) and a Buffalo nickel (1914 - 1918). The commemorative 22 cent US postage stamp was first issued in 1985. Certificate of Authenticity included.
