This charming story is a reflection on the life of a skunk and a floppy-eared rabbit who both lived in New York City. He, in the larger garment district of the city and she, in the big and beautiful New York Central Park. They meet, become friends, and then decide to spend the rest of their lives together. But, much to the disapproval of her father, they run into difficulties in their relationship. This is a story of prejudice and the importance of acceptance and carries a wonderful message for all of us. Young children will find this a heartwarming story as Stripes and Peaches resolve their problems.
