With time, our life experiences can reveal insights that first elude us. In A Reflection of My Journey, Desmond Tomlinson reflects on the events recounted in his four-volume autobiographical series Fostering Through the Eyes of a Child. Here, he brings to light the many lessons he has learned from his difficult childhood. The narrative he was taught to believe about his early life as a Rastafarian and his father collapses under examination. What once seemed to be only personal events, he now sees as part of the social and global issues affecting us all.
