Cassandra is a freelance communications professional, who dabbles in fiction. She is crippled by writer's block. Her best friend Theresa, is a clothing designer trying to build a business. They meet for coffee every week.
Cassandra needs 'a novel idea' for her next book. She decides to push herself, to break her writer's block, by writing a short story, or first chapter, in every genre and story archetype. She writes 25 stories in all, among them, everything from gothic, to horror, to adventure, crime, a western, sc-fi, fantasy, rags to riches, and even a buddy story. Her own tale is the 26th.
Along the way, Theresa gets her design business off the ground with the help of Markus, Brandon and David, who they meet along the way.
