Little Audrey first appeared in the animated cartoon SANTA'S SURPRISE in 1947, by ParamountPictures' Famous Studios. She then appeared in the Popeye cartoon OLIVE OYL FOR PRESIDENT. She was immediately popular so of course Audrey was perfect for comic books. The first issue of LITTLEAUDREY was published in April 1948 by St. John Publications. You read that correctly. The first twenty-four issues of LITTLE AUDREY were not published by Harvey Comics, but by St. John. Harvey licensed Little Audrey, the character, in 1952 and later purchased the rights in 1958.The early St. John LITTLE AUDREY comics, although in the public domain, are difficult to find.Assembled in this book are issues #2 through 12, 14, 15, 22 and 23. I am looking for scans of the other issues in the St. John series. If you have scans of any of the missing comics, please let me know.THIS BOOK IS AVAILABLE IN HARD COVER AND TRADE PAPERBACK FORMATS AS WELL IN BOTH FULL COLOR AND BLACK & WHITE.
