This book is a collective group of stories from women and men who have survived childhood traumas such as sexual, physical, emotional, and mental abuse and domestic violence relationships. The group was founded in July of 2023 on TikTok by Cynthia Upchurch. Before long, the group had over 25 members with shared experiences that they were willing to discuss in an open forum. Thus, the I AMASURVIVOR GROUP was born. We have found "Purpose in our pain" and help each other heal, grow, and move on from what happened to us in the past. We were so passionate about our shared experiences we opened I AMASURVIVOR GROUP CORPORATION, a non-profit in the state of New York, on September 11th, 2023.
The first part of the book is about the traumatic childhood of the founder, Cynthia Upchurch and the rest of the book is a collection of stories from individual organization members' lives, who are all survivors.
