Lindsey Johnson, an acquisition manager for an American company, travels to an Irish coastal town with the goal of acquiring a valuable 14th-century castle owned by the local council to turn into a resort. But the council won't sell to anyone who knocks down the building or doesn't understand the local culture. Councilor and whiskey distiller Brennan O'Brien is among the more committed councilors who are against the sale.Lindsey realizes that if she wants to buy the land, she'll have to win Brennan over. So she signs up for the town's matchmaking festival as a way to demonstrate her interest in the culture. After a series of activities, including baking soda bread, knitting an Aran sweater and a visit to the Cliffs of Moher, she feels increasingly connected to Irish culture. Lindsey also feels the heritage of her Irish grandmother, who left her a ring with a heart insignia, and the way she wears that ring can give her a very special connection to love. Can Lindsey reclaim her own heart, demanding her own roots, and can Brennan dissolve his own attachments?
