This study is intended for individuals, families, and groups who want to dive deeper into God's word. This is NOT an expository study but instead, it is a study that looks at how all of scripture works together. 1 John is a book that all Christians should study whether new Christians and long-time Christians. Each week has 4 days of lessons that revolve around a passage in 1 John. In those 4 days, you will look at how scripture answers various questions that appear in 1 John. At the end of each lesson, there are additional resources for the catechisms and YouTube videos.
1 John is broken into smaller groupings to follow an exegetical outline. By studying each major idea communicated in the text, we will see both the individual assertions and collective whole assertions of 1 John. The questions herein primarily originate from several seasons in life where I have personally grown in faith considering God's Word from 1 John. Everywhere the Lord sends me, this book has been of tremendous use. John's life of faith calls us away from all that we would say is religious, dramatic, and dogmatic about ourselves apart from Christ. John's life testifies to something beyond human-originated concepts of religion, tradition, and ordinances. John's writings and life testifies to the Divine Truth, to God Incarnate, and to the maker of all creation taking on Body and Blood. John's gospel, his letters to churches, and his prophecy all point to the most dramatic reality that defines each and every person for all eternity: Christ's life, death, resurrection, ascension, reign, and return.
