Overview

Hamilton Place's Sears building is undergoing a comprehensive mixed-use redevelopment - the largest in the property's history.

The first milestone was the highly anticipated opening of The Cheesecake Factory in December 2018 in the former Sears parking lot. In March of this year, Chattanooga welcomed new-to-market entertainment venue Dave & Buster’s, as well as DICK'S Sporting Goods.

As part of the project, the property will also be home to a 135-room boutique-style Aloft by Marriott Hotel. Aloft Chattanooga Hamilton Place will be located between The Cheesecake Factory and the future Dave & Busters. It will include a Mean Mug Coffeehouse in the lobby and a rooftop bar atop the seventh story.

Malone's
, an upscale steakhouse, is also coming to the property in the parking lot near DICK'S Sporting Goods and JCPenney. In addition, the redevelopment will include Class “A” office space and additional restaurants and specialty tenants.

Tips for Getting Around

While a portion of the mall parking lot is a construction site, rest assured that there is still ample parking on the property.

If you're entering the property from I-75 North, the affected area is to your right as you enter the ring road. If you're coming in from the main roundabout off Gunbarrel Road, construction will be to your left. Keep in mind that all lanes of traffic are still flowing, so the construction behind the barriers should not create additional traffic.

You'll notice that the lot between JCPenney's and the new development is partially blocked off, but other than that, all of the parking is still accessible. And all stores are still open during construction, as well.
